The MagnoVex was designed to better experiment with observed spikes in magnetic field strength as well as shifts in the polarity of field which have been recorded on many occasions during unexplained events.
It calibrates to the natural shifting magnetic fields and only triggers an alarm when it has detected an anomlous reading above this calibration
